Every stock movement is recorded as a transaction rather than by editing a quantity field, so the current stock of any item is derived from its history. That design decision is the interesting part of the project and the thing worth defending: it means you can always reconstruct how the stock reached its present figure.
Reorder levels per item drive an alerts view, and stock valuation is computed for reporting. Between them these give the project genuine business logic rather than being a set of forms over a table.
Supplier and customer records, invoice generation and date-range reporting complete a scope that is realistic for a final-year submission without becoming unfinishable.

Why derive stock from transactions instead of storing a quantity?
Because a stored quantity can drift out of step with the history and cannot be audited. Deriving it means the figure is always explainable — and explaining that choice is a strong answer in a viva.
