Cost depends on components, complexity and which deliverables you need, so we quote after understanding your requirement.
A current transformer and a voltage sensing stage feed a metering front end that calculates real power, apparent power and power factor, then accumulates energy in kilowatt-hours. Readings appear on a local display and on a dashboard, so you can show consumption changing as loads are switched.
It is one of the strongest projects for electrical students because everything it produces is a number from your syllabus. Switching an inductive load and watching the power factor fall is a demonstration that answers half the viva questions before they are asked.
The metering front end operates at low voltage on a demonstration load bank. If a mains-referenced version is genuinely required by your department, the measurement section is enclosed and isolated — discussed and agreed before the build.
It is calibrated against a reference meter during setup, and the calibration procedure is supplied so you can repeat and report it. Present it as an academic instrument, not a certified meter.
The standard build measures a low-voltage demonstration load. A mains-referenced version requires an enclosed and isolated measurement section and must be agreed before the build starts.
